Adults can benefit from orthodontic treatment in many ways. Orthodontic treatment can help create a more pleasing smile as well as establish a healthy oral enviroment. Our percentage of adults seeking treatment has grown to 20% of our practice over the past five years. Age is not a limiting factor. I have treated clients in their 70's with gratifying results. Teeth move as quickly with adults as with adolescents. The only limiting factor is that we do not have growth to work with. However, with modern technology this can be compensated with quite nicely.
At one time or another we have treated our staff members with appliances that have ranged from orthodontic bands, ceramic braces, clear plastic aligners, lingual braces and other removable appliances. If desired, our staff would be an excellent source to gain more information about what may mbe available for you. In many instances new technology has allowed the length of treatment time to be shortened.
I have a feeling of joy when active treatment is completed. I feel that myself, as well as our staff, have positively impacted the lives of those who have placed their trust in us.
